In the 1999 I bought an Acer TravelMate 312T. Read about my experience installing Linux and Windows 98 on it.

The notebook came with Windows 98 Italian version, which has an annoying bug with SYSTRAY.EXE and PCMCIA. There is a page where Microsoft acknowledges the bug, but does not provide a fix. Here there is the page revised by me, it contains the patch.

In 2001 I upgraded its RAM and hard disk, here you can find some hints to disassemble the notebook and some photos of the inside.
