How to activate laptop hibernation with Debian Jessie:

• Verify that swap partition is bigger than RAM memory (hint: use the free command).
• Use the blkid command to get the UUID of the swap partition.
• Verify that /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume indicates the right UUID.
• Run the update-initramfs -k all -u command.
